IPL 2024: Boisterous GT look to turn the screw on DC

News

Looking to lift themselves up in the IPL standings, Gujarat Titans and Delhi Capitals will be hoping to outplay each other when they lock horns in the 32nd match of the ongoing Indian Premier League on Wednesday at Narendra Modi Stadium. The campaign for both teams has been rife with mixed results, as they haven’t found the consistency yet.

Gujarat Titans, under the leadership of new skipper Shubman Gill, have showcased their mettle with three victories in their last six matches. Their performance has been marked by moments of highs and lows, displaying a balanced combination of batting firepower and bowling prowess. Nonetheless, they would be feeling reenergised after completing a successful run chase against Rajasthan Royals in their last game to win it by three wickets. The only task for GT would be to not make any mistake and keep on recording wins.

On the other hand, Delhi Capitals have also had a slightly inconsistent run, managing to secure victories in two out of their five matches so far. Despite facing some setbacks, Delhi Capitals boast a formidable lineup comprising the likes of Rishabh Pant, Prithvi Shaw, and David Warner, who all have been among runs and would be expected to make their mark. Jake Fraser-McGurk has been the star for DC, slamming his half-century on debut, and would be expected to carry on with the same form.

Head to Head

GT and DC have faced each other three times in IPL. Gujarat Titans have got two victories while Delhi Capitals are having one win.

Gujarat Titans Probabel XI: Shubman Gill (c), Matthew Wade (wk), Sai Sudharsan, David Miller, Vijay Shankar, Rahul Tewatia, Abhinav Manohar, Rashid Khan, Sai Kishore, Umesh Yadav, Spencer Johnson

Delhi Capitals Probable XI: David Warner, Prithvi Shaw, Jake Fraser-McGurk, Rishabh Pant (c&wk), Shai Hope, Tristan Stubbs, Axar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav, Mukesh Kumar, Khaleel Ahmed, Ishant Sharma
