Former Indian cricketer names India’s T20I WC squad, Virat Kohli overlooked
High-profile T20I World Cup 2024 is on the horizon and India’s squad for the mega event will be announced one of these days, with last date approaching fast. Former Indian cricketer Sanjay Manjrekar named his 15-player squad for India for the upcoming world event.
Manjrekar in his squad made some surprising picks and some exclusions. Manjrekar kept Rohit Sharma as skipper, but surprisingly left out masterclass Virat Kohli from his squad.
Manjrekar selected the likes of Yashasvi Jaiswal, explosive Suryakumar Yadav, Rishabh Pant and Sanju Samson in the batting order. He also picked Krunal Pandya, who plays for LSG at the IPL. Among allrounders, he chose Ravindra Jadeja alongside Pandya.
In his bowling attack, he included Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj, Avesh Khan, Harshit Rana and Mayank Yadav in the pace department, and in the spin attack he went for Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal.
