Asia Cup 2023: Sri Lanka to take on Bangladesh

The second match of the ongoing Asia Cup 2023 will have the encounter between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh on Thursday at Pallekele International Cricket Stadium. This match is going to be the first of the Asia Cup tournament for both teams. Both sides will look forward to having great start in the tournament as it will be crucial for both teams to keep the upper edge from the very start. Bangladesh will be led by Shakib Al Hasan and will be emboldened by the presence of Afif Hossain, Najmul Hossain Shanto and Mushfiqur Rahim. 

Sri Lanka, on the other hand, will be led by Dasun Shanka where they will have the service of players like, Pathum Nissanka, Dimuth Karunaratne, Kusal Mendis and Sadeera Samarawickrama in the batting order. They also have the solid bowling attack with the likes of Lahiru Kumara, Matheesha Pathirana and Maheesh Theekshana. Both teams possess great set of experienced players as they look forward to a perfect start.
