Asia Cup 2023: Jasprit Bumrah heads back home owing to personal reasons
India's star pacer Jasprit Bumrah has flown back home due to personal reasons as he is all set to miss India's match against Nepal in the ongoing Asia Cup on Monday at Pallekele International Cricket Stadium. However, Jasprit Bumrah will join the team ahead of the Super 4s battle. Bumrah's absence in the match against Nepal will mean that fast bowler Mohammed Shami will be replacing Bumrah. Jasprit Bumrah recently made his return to international action after making his recovery from back injury. Ahead of the Asia Cup, Jasprit Bumrah has led team India in the series against Ireland.
On Saturday, India had their eagerly awaited first match of the Asia Cup against Pakistan but the match had been called off due to incessant rainfall. Bumrah's bowling couldn't be witnessed as rain didn't allow second innings to get underway. India will now take on Nepal on Monday at Pallekele International Cricket Stadium.
