Asia Cup 2023: Rain relents in Colombo as action to resume at 4:40pm
There is some good news coming in from Colombo for the fans waiting eagerly to witness the India vs Pakistan match on ‘Reserve Day’ on Monday at R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. Rain has stopped and the groundsmen are removing the covers. Rain had been lashing Colombo for last one hour as players were waiting anxiously to get back onto the field. Talking about the match scenario, Pakistan decided to bowl first after winning the toss on Sunday as India got off to a nice start with Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill scoring their half-centuries. Due to rain, match was called off on Sunday, which is why ‘Reserve Day’ has come in place on Monday. India are at 147/2 in 24.1 overs with Virat Kohli and KL Rahul at the crease. There will be a complete 50-over match as no over has been lost.
