Gautam Gambhir to rejoin KKR
Former Indian cricketer Gautam Gambhir is officially set to return to Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) after leaving Lucknow Super Giants. Gautam Gambhir will be joining KKR as the team mentor in the upcoming edition of the tournament. Under Gambhir’s leadership, Kolkata Knight Riders won the title in 2012 and 2014. During the last edition of the tournament, Kolkata Knight Riders had finished seventh in the points table but heading into this edition of the tournament, they would look forward to a solid tournament.

“I am not an emotional person and not many things move me. But this is different. This is back to where it all started. Today, there is a lump in my throat and fire in my heart as I think about slipping into that purple and gold jersey once again,” Gambhir stated upon his return to KKR.
