PSL 2024: Islamabad United go against Karachi Kings

In the 24th match of the ongoing Pakistan Super League, Islamabad United will be squaring off with Karachi Kings on Thursday at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, Rawalpindi. Karachi Kings will be off the back of a victory heading into this game as they thrashed Quetta Gladiators in their last game. However, their situation still remains grim with their position still at the penultimate from bottom with three victories from seven games. They have lost four games as they have six points along with the negative NRR of -0.184

Islamabad United, on the other hand, led by Shadab Khan, will be hoping to bounce back after their latest defeat against Lahore Qalandars on Wednesday. Skipper Shadab Khan’s all-round abilities make him a crucial figure for Islamabad United, capable of making significant contributions with both bat and ball. 

Before their defeat against Lahore Qalandars, Islamabad United had outplayed Babar led Peshawar Zalmi, wherein Shadab had contributed heavily by scoring (80) and taking three wickets as well. Islamabad United are on the fourth place in the points table with three victories from eight games. They have seven points and the positive NRR of +0.163. 

Karachi Kings, enter the game with a star-studded lineup brimming with match-winners. Led by Shan Masood, the team boasts an array of explosive batsmen such as Tim Seifert, James Vince and Kieron Pollard capable of decimating opposition's bowling attacks. With the presence of experienced players, Karachi Kings would look to put behind their defeat and look for victory.
