Duleep Trophy: Siraj ruled out, Ravindra Jadeja withdrawn

Indian pacer Mohammed Siraj will not be particiapting in the first round of Duleep Trophy due to illness. While, Ravindra Jadeja has been released from the squad and has been allowed rest. 

Umran Malik, who is in India C squad, too has been ruled out of the first round matches. Navdeep Saini has replaced Siraj in the India B squad, while Gaurav Yadav comes in for Umran Malik in India C squad. The first round of Duleep Trophy will be played from September 5 to 8. Gaurav Yadav was the talk of the town in the 2023-24 Ranji Trophy, picking up 41 wickets for Puducherry.

“Both Siraj and Malik are suffering from an illness and are not expected to be fit in time for their Duleep Trophy fixtures,” BCCI stated in a release.

“All-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has also been released from the Team B squad,” it further stated.
