IPL 2025: RCB, PBKS gear up for second face-off in 48 hours

As the engrossing Indian Premier League 2025 (IPL) reaches the halfway point, Royal Challengers Bengaluru are set to face off against Punjab Kings in the 37th match of the tournament on Sunday at Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium, Mullanpur, Chandigarh. This clash comes less than 48 hours after their last meeting, adding an extra layer of intensity to their high-octane rivalry.
In Friday’s rain-affected contest, Punjab emerged victorious , securing a five-wicket win at RCB’s home ground. However, Sunday’s match flips the script. This time, RCB will be on the road—though that might just be a blessing in disguise. RCB have a flawless away record this season, having won all four of their matches on the road. Players like Virat Kohli, Phil Salt and Rajat Patidar have led from the front, and once again, much will depend on their ability to give the innings a fiery start.
On the other hand, Punjab are riding a wave of momentum. With five wins in seven games, they have enjoyed one of their best seasons so far. Their recent success against RCB will boost their confidence heading into this rematch. Playing at home, they’ll look to capitalise on familiar conditions and extend their winning streak.
