Pak vs Afg 3rd ODI: Pakistan complete series whitewash as they beat Afghanistan by 59 runs
Pakistan successfully thrashed Afghanistan by (59) runs in the third and final ODI on Saturday at R. Premadasa Stadium to complete the series whitewash. Babar Azam (60) and Mohammad Rizwan's (67) powerful knocks made a stark difference in Pakistan's victory as they were a bit under pressure after losing Fakhar Zaman and Imam-ul-Haq too early. Earlier, Pakistan had won the toss and decided to bat. Pakistan posted a total of (268) in (50) overs after losing (8) wickets.
Chasing the total, Afghanistan failed to witness the powerful batting which they had in the first match. Afghanistan lost Rahmanullah Gurbaz (5) very early. Ibrahim Zadran scored (0). Riaz Hassan and Shahidullah were the top-scorer for Afghanistan with their scores of (34) and (37), but it was not enough for Afghanistan to chase down the total, thus, losing the game by (59) runs. This series victory will give huge confidence to Pakistan moving into the Asia Cup.
