ENG vs NZ T20I: England to face New Zealand in the first match
England will lock horns with New Zealand in the first T20I match of the four-match series on Wednesday at Riverside Ground, Chester-le-Street. Both teams have a lot to play for as they will also be getting into four-match ODI series after the T20I series. Jos Buttler will be leading England as they are bolstered by the presence of Jonny Bairstow, Harry Brook, Moeen Ali and Liam Livingstone. In terms of victories between both teams, England keep the upper edge with their (14) victories against New Zealand’s (8).
New Zealand, on the other side, will enter the arena with the powerful line-up in the form of Devon Conway, Finn Allen, Mark Chapman and Glenn Phillips. New Zealand recently played their three-match T20I series against United Arab Emirates where they registered the series victory as they beat the UAE by 2-1. England will be without their all-rounder James Neesham who has gone back to New Zealand to be with his wife for the birth of their first child. In the batting order, New Zealand will bank on Devon Conway, Finn Allen, Mark Chapman and Glenn Phillips while their bowling attack will be handled by Kyle Jamieson, Tim Southee and Ish Sodhi.
