Asia Cup 2023: Arch-rivals set for the greatest rivalry

India and Pakistan are all set to clash with each other in one of the fiercest battles on Saturday (2nd September) in the third match of the ongoing Asia Cup 2023. The match will be played at Pallekele International Cricket Stadium. The battle is going to be incredibly competitive with both teams looking to pin down each other. Both teams are placed in group A of the tournament which also involves Nepal. The match against Pakistan will be India’s first of the Asia Cup as they look ahead to a greater outcome. However, Pakistan will be playing their second match of the tournament as they played their first match against Nepal where they registered a huge 238-run win.
Moreover, the match will hold a lot of significance as India will be up against World’s No.1 ODI side and both sides have done exceedingly well in their past assignments. So much so that both teams possess immensely talented players. From India, the likes of Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Shubman Gill and Suryakumar Yadav will form the top-order batting while their bowling will be led by Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Shami and Mohammed Siraj. From Pakistan, their batting line-up will have the likes of Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, Fakhar Zaman and Iftikhar Ahmed while their bowling attack will be led by Shaheen Afridi, Haris Rauf and Naseem Shah. The encounter is going to be highly competitive as fans from both sides eagely await for a powerful clash.
