SA vs AUS 1st ODI: Marnus Labuschagne and Ashton Agar help Australia get over the line

Australia registered their hard-earned victory in the first ODI of the five-match series on Thursday at Mangaung Oval by beating South Africa by (3) wickets with (58) balls to spare. The match-winning partnership between Marnus Labuschagne (80*) and Ashton Agar (48*) helped Australia win the lost battle. Talking about match, put into bat, South Africa skipper Temba Bavuma played a powerful knock by hammering (114) runs to help the team get to a valuable total of (222) in (49) overs. South Africa didn’t get the service of their other batters as all failed to get going.
For Australia, Josh Hazlewood and Marcus Stoinis returned with three and two wickets respectively. Chasing the total, Australia lost their top six batters in quick succession with David Warner, Josh Inglis and Alex Carey returning with a very low score. Travis Head and Mitchell Marsh did some scoring with their scores of (33) and (17) respectively. But, down the order, Marnus Labuschagne and Ashton Agar played very great innings to take the team over the line.
