Australia replace Pakistan to become No.1 ODI side
It was not just the victory that Australia enjoyed by beating South Africa by three wickets in the first ODI of the five-match series on Thursday at Mangaung, Oval but they also had another reason to cheer as they dethroned Pakistan to become the No.1 ODI side in the World. Both teams now share 119 points each. However, Pakistan will carry the chance to become No.1 side again if they beat India in their upcoming Asia Cup game on Sunday. Talking about Australia’s victory against South Africa on Thursday, then, it was a hard-fought victory for Australia with Marnus Labuschagne and Ashton Agar forging a match-winning partnership.
Labuschagne had come out as a concussion substitute for Cameron Green as he played a positive innings of (80) runs unbeaten.
