ENG-W vs SL-W 1st ODI: Teams shift focus towards ODIs
England and Sri Lanka Women will be shifting their attention towards ODI series after having finished the T20I series. Both teams will take on each other in the first ODI on Saturday at Riverside Ground. In the T20I series, Sri Lanka registered the series victory by beating England by 2-1. Sri Lanka beat England in the second and third match to register their series victory. England had won the first T20I by 12 runs (DLS). Going into the ODI series, Sri Lanka would hope to carry forward the same momentum to keep themselves in dominant situation. Chamari Athapaththu, Nilakshi de Silva and Vishmi Gunaratne will be expected to help Sri Lanka with their nice performances.
England, on the other hand, would hope to return to winning ways after having suffered their series defeat in the T20Is. It will be of utmost importance for England Women to win ODIs after having been pinned down in the T20Is on their home turf. Heather Knight, Danielle Wyatt and Tamsin Beaumont would hope to contribute bigly with their performances.
