Asia Cup 2023: India to confront Sri Lanka in final

India and Sri Lanka will be squaring off against each other in the final of the ongoing Asia Cup 2023 that is slated to be played at R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on Sunday. Both teams are carrying enormous amount of confidence after having done well in the previous matches of the tournament. India stormed into the final of the ongoing Asia Cup after beating Sri Lanka by (41) runs. India will expect same intensity from their bowlers and batters going into final. Openers Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill have played tremendous cricket while middle-order has been taken care of by Virat Kohli, KL Rahul and Ishant Sharma. India’s players down the order have also chipped in with crucial knocks. India’s bowling attack has been extraordinary as well with spinners and pacers leading the bowling attack in tandem. 

Sri Lanka, on the other hand, moved to the final of the Asia Cup 2023 with the 2-wicket victory (DLS) against Pakistan on Thursday. Sri Lanka have been brilliantly capable of giving tough fights to the opposition teams and they would hope to maintain same rhythm going into the final against India. Sri Lanka have suffered a big blow with their star spinner Maheesh Theekshana having been ruled out of the final due to hamstring injury. Moving into the game, both teams would be eying the title keeping in mind the approaching ODI World Cup.
