'He's got a lot of variation': Rohit Sharma on R Ashwin

Team India will be getting into the third and final ODI against Australia on Wednesday at Rajkot where India will see the return of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli as they both missed the first two matches of the series. This will be the opportunity for India to give final touch to their preparations ahead of the ODI World Cup which will get underway just a week after this series. India have had one setback with the injury to all-rounder Axar Patel who sustained quadricep injury during Asia Cup which ruled him out of the Australia series. However, veteran R Ashwin has exhibited his skills in the absence of Axar Patel. Ashwin’s great performance has also helped him make his case stronger for his inclusion into the ODI World Cup. Ahead of the third ODI, Rohit Sharma praised R Ashwin for his incredible class. Rohit Sharma didn’t rule out the possibility of Ashwin’s addition into the squad.
“You cannot take away the class and the experience that the individual has over the years and in the last couple of games we saw how well he bowled,” said Rohit Sharma during the press conference.
“He’s got a lot of variation up his sleeves and In case there is a chance, we can look at a lot of things. So hopefully, the way things are at this point in time, it does well for us because we’ve got all the backups and everything ready as well," he said.
