Defeats in Warm-Up games, Sri Lanka seek amazing start as they take on South Africa

South Africa will be taking on Sri Lanka in the fourth match of the ongoing ODI World Cup 2023 on Saturday at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. South Africa had a rather disappointing Warm-Up fixtures because they lost one match while another match resulted in no result for them. Moving into World Cup, South Africa will hope to drive confidence from their series win over Australia in the five-match ODI series which was ahead of the World Cup. Bavuma will be captaining South Africa where there will be players like Quinton de Kock, Aiden Markram, Heinrich Klaasen and David Miller.
Sri Lanka, on the other hand, will enter the ODI World Cup on the back of their massive defeat against India in the Asia Cup 2023 final recently. During the Warm-Up games, Sri Lanka lost both of their matches that were against Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. Losing Warm-Up games would have given worrying times for Sri Lanka as they would want to get off to a superb start in their World Cup campaign. Sri Lanka will be confident with the presence of Kusal Mendis, Sadeera Samarawickrama and Pathum Nissanka.
