Australia take on Netherlands
Coming on the back of their 62-run win against Pakistan, Australia would once again be looking forward to stamping their authority in their match against Netherlands on Wednesday at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. Australia’s World Cup campaign started on a rather dull note with their back-to-back defeats against India and South Africa respectively but Australia’s campaign picked up crucial momentum with their two consecutive victories against Sri Lanka and Pakistan in their last two matches respectively. Australia have had great innings from their players David Warner, Mitchell Marsh and Steve Smith who at vital moments have helped the team with runs. Australia would hope to go ahead with the same intensity and rhythm to keep themselves strong in the tournament. Netherlands, on the other hand, threw upset with their marvellous 38-run win against South Africa but they lost their last match against Sri Lanka by (5) wickets. In the match against Sri Lanka, Netherlands had put up a tough fight but eventually lost the battle. Netherlands would hope to be in their elements to outplay Australia and cement their chances of making it to the semi-final.
Australia Probable XI: Mitchell Marsh, David Warner, Steve Smith, Marnus Labuschagne, Josh Inglis (WK), Glenn Maxwell, Pat Cummins (C), Marcus Stoinis, Mitchell Starc, Adam Zampa and Josh Hazlewood.
Netherlands Probable XI: Vikramjit Singh, Max O’Dowd, Colin Ackermann, Bas de Leede, Sybrand Engelbrecht, Teja Nidamanuru, Scott Edwards (c and wk), Logan van Beek, Roelof van der Merwe, Aryan Dutt and Paul van Meekeren
