Rachin Ravindra and Mitchell Santer added as New Zealand name squad for Test series against Bangladesh

New Zealand have announced their squad for the upcoming two-match test series against Bangladesh which will begin later this month. New Zealand have majorly focused on the inclusion of spin attack. The significant inclusion came in the form of young star Rachin Ravindra who has been incredibly phenomenal in the ongoing World Cup. Rachin Ravindra has been one of the mainstays for New Zealand in the World Cup. Mitchell Santner was also incorporated into the squad as he joins the spinners like Ish Sodhi and Ajaz Patel. Santner too have made a absolute mark in the World Cup with his powerful bowling attack.
“We’ve selected a squad we think can compete and succeed in Bangladesh,” said selector Sam Wells.
“With Ajaz, Ish, Mitch, Glenn and Rachin, we have a strong spin group that will offer good variety and options during the series.”
New Zealand will be led by Tim Southee alongside heavyweights Kane Williamson, Devon Conway, Daryl Mitchell and Matt Henry. New Zealand will also be solidified by the presence of pacer Kyle Jamieson who is making his return after recuperating from back surgery. The first Test match between both teams will get underway from November 28.
