WPL auction to be held on December 9
The Women’s Premier League auction is all set to be held on December 9 in Mumbai. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced on Friday. The first edition of the WPL was the most thrilling one which saw the players from around the world participating in the tournament. In the previous edition, Mumbai Indians had emerged victorious as they will be entering this edition of the tournament as the defending champions. Harmanpreet Kaur had led Mumbai Indians to the victory in the inaugural edition of the tournament. The five franchises participated in the last edition of the tournament were: Mumbai Indians, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Delhi Capitals, Gujarat Titans and UP Warriors.
