NZ-W vs PAK-W 2nd T20I: Pakistan hope to replicate 1st match’s performance as New Zealand eye comeback
New Zealand Women and Pakistan Women will take on each other in the second T20I match of the three-match series on Tuesday at University Oval in Dunedin. In the first match, Pakistan Women had startled New Zealand Women with their marvellous performance to beat the host by seven wickets. Shawaal Zulfiqar top-scored for the team with her 41-run knock to help the side win the game. In the first game, New Zealand had posted the total of (127) on the back of nice innings coming in from Maddy Green and Suzie Bates who both scored (43) and (28) respectively to take the team to a fighting total. Chasing the total, Pakistan made their dominance from the beginning with Muneeba Ali and Shawaal Zulfiquar scoring (23) and (41) runs respectively. Skipper Nida Dar gave support with her 23-run knock. Meanwhile, Bismah Maroof and Aliya Riaz remained unbeaten on (13) and (25) respectively to take the team over the line. Heading into the second match, New Zealand Women would hope to make their comeback to remain alive in the series while Pakistan Women would be eying to seal the series victory. The match will get underway at 5:00 AM (IST).
