Pakistan Women register historical series win against New Zealand Women
Pakistan Women created a historical moment for themselves by beating New Zealand Women in the second T20I of the ongoing three-match series on Tuesday at University Oval. Pakistan Women recorded 10-run win to secure the series victory. For the first time, Pakistan Women have registered their series win against New Zealand Women. In this series, Pakistan Women have been in rich form as they also secured their victory in the first match. Talking about the second match, Pakistan posted a fighting total of (132) in (20) overs. Muneeba Ali and Aliya Riaz scored (35) and (32*) runs respectively to propel the side to a competitive target. Defending the total, Pakistan Women restricted New Zealand Women for (127) in (20) overs. New Zealand didn’t get a powerful start with Amelia Kerr (2) and Sophie Devine (5) getting out cheaply. Hannah Rowe top-scored for the team with her 33-run knock but New Zealand Women fell (10) runs short of achieving the target.
