The seventh game of the ongoing Big Bash League tournament will witness the face-off between Melbourne Stars and Perth Scorchers on Wednesday at Melbourne Cricket Ground in Melbourne. Melbourne Stars are into their second match of the tournament after having been defeated in their first game by Brisbane Heat in the opening game of the tournament. Perth Scorchers, on the other hand, had their last match against Melbourne Renegades but that resulted in no result for them. This too will be the second game for Perth Scorchers in the tournament as they would eye a lively start. Currently, Perth Scorchers are situated at fourth position in the points table while Melbourne Stars are placed at the bottom. Melbourne Stars' 103-run defeat in the first game of the tournament will be a warning sign for them to get back to winning times to assert their dominance. The fans would hope for an exhilarating game ahead. Stand-in skipper Marcus Stoinis will be leading Melbourne Stars in the absence of regular skipper Glenn Maxwell who is recovering from a forearm injury.

Perth Scorchers Probable XI: Stephen Eskinazi, Cooper Connolly, Aaron Hardie, Josh Inglis (wk), Ashton Turner (c), Laurie Evans, Nick Hobson, Jhye Richardson, Andrew Tye, Hamish McKenzie, Jason Behrendorff

Melbourne Stars Probable XI: Thomas Rogers, Sam Harper (wk), Joe Burns, Marcus Stoinis (c), Jonathan Merlo, Hilton Cartwright, Liam Dawson, Usama Mir, Joel Paris, Nathan Coulter-Nile, Olly Stone
