Pakistan name T20I squad for the New Zealand series
Shaheen Afridi is set to lead the team as Pakistan announce their squad for the upcoming five-match T20I series against New Zealand, scheduled to commence early next year in January. Pakistan have come up with a 17-member squad that involves few fresh faces in the squad. Pakistan have brought in wicket-keeper batter Haseebullah, all-rounder Abbas Afridi and spinner Abrar Ahmed into the squad. Shadab Khan has been ruled out as he is going through an ankle injury. Experienced players Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan and Fakhar Zaman will be seen in action. Meanwhile, Azam Khan and Sahibzada have been recalled. The first match of the series will get underway from January 12.
