WI vs ENG 5th T20I: Sanguine England look to clinch series
England will be facing West Indies in the fifth and final T20I match on Thursday (Friday, December 22, 1:30 AM IST) at Brian Lara Stadium in Trinidad. There is going to be a great deal of intense competition in the final match after the series was tied 2-2 with both teams winning two matches each. England bounced back into the series with their consecutive victories into the third and fourth T20I match while West Indies registered their victories in the first and second match to assert their dominance. England have successfully denied West Indies to make their dominance over them. Phil Salt has played an instrumental role in England’s victories in the third and fourth game with his back-to-back century-filled knocks. It’s been terrifically wonderful from England to have bounced back so rapidly that West Indies failed to stop them. England’s fascinating performance in the T20I series is the testament to their prowess in the shortest format of the game. England would hope to move forward with the same intensity and robustness. The newly found rhythm will help England pose a mammoth challenge to West Indies’ strong lineup. West Indies, on the other hand, will need a solid strategy to stop gutsy England to secure the title win. Largely, West Indies have done well in the last two games, however their bowlers have failed to put their best foot forward. Their bowlers will need to step up to produce a nice show to resist England’s rise.
