WI vs ENG 5th T20I: West Indies beat England to clinch the series 3-2
West Indies registered a riveting four-wicket win in the fifth and final T20I match against England with batter Shai Hope finishing the proceedings with a match-winning six on Friday at Brian Lara Cricket Academy. Shai Hope’s 43-run score unbeaten changed the course of the game, fetching the win for West Indies. Asked to bat, England were wrapped up for 132 runs with Gudakesh Motie dominating England with his three wickets. Akeal Hosein, Jason Holder and Andre Russell took two wickets each. For England, Phil Salt and Liam Livingstone scored (38) and (28) respectively to steer the side to a fighting score. West Indies, while chasing the target, went deep into the game with Sam Curran finishing the 19th over on a great note as he only splurged 2 runs, leaving West Indies in need of nine runs from the last over. But, Shai Hope didn’t let the game go too far while finishing the game with an emphatic win with four balls to go. This has really been uplifting from West Indies to having been doing well in the T20I format under the leadership of Rovman Powell. England had tried really hard to counter West Indies with the help of their bowlers Reece Topley and Adil Rashid being absolutely thrifty with their two wickets each. Nonetheless, West Indies prevailed to finish the series 3-2.
