Gerald Coetzee to miss South Africa’s Test against India

South African pacer Gerald Coetzee has been ruled out of the South Africa’s upcoming second and final Test match against India, scheduled to begin from 3rd January in Cape Town, due to injury. During the first Test match, Coetzee had developed pelvic inflammation which worsened as the game progressed. Gerald underwent scans on Friday that revealed the extent of the injury.
However, no replacement has yet been named for Gerald. Earlier, skipper Temba Bavuma had also been ruled out the second Test after picking up hamstring injury. South Africa are leading the two-match series 1-0 after outplaying India in the first game by an innings and 32 runs.
