ZIM-W vs IRE-W ODI: Both teams meet in the first match

Ireland Women are touring Zimbabwe for the three-match ODI series and five-match T20I series scheduled to start from 18th January with the first ODI match at Harare Sports Club, Harare. Both teams have secured their places for the Women’s T20I World Cup 2024 qualifier.
Laura Delany will be leading Ireland Women, that will enter the series with their 15-player squad. Ireland Women will get into this series on the back of their 2-1 series win against Scotland Women in the ODI series.
Zimbabwe Women, on the other hand, will be led by Mary-Anne Musonda under whom they secured their place in the Women’s T20I World Cup Qualifier by beating Uganda in the final of the T20I World Cup Africa Region Qualifier.
Looking at their head-to-head in ODIs, both teams have seen each other for four times, wherein, Ireland Women have recorded three victories from their four matches. Both teams last played against each other in ODIs in 2021 where Ireland won four-match series 3-1. The first ODI of this series will start at 12:45 PM (IST).
