IND vs AFG 3rd T20I: Rohit Sharma stars in India’s thrilling win against fierce AFG after two super overs

In a nail-biting encounter between India and Afghanistan played at M Chinnaswamy Stadium on Wednesday, in the 3rd T20I match, India registered the final laugh after the thrilling contest that not only went into one super over but two, with India emerging victorious by 10 runs in the second super over.
Indian skipper Rohit Sharma recorded the fifth T20I century after India won the toss and decided to bat. Sharma scored 121 unbeaten off 69 deliveries to move the side to a terrific target of 212 in the initial innings. Chasing the target, Afghanistan had the brilliant innings from Gulbadin Naib, Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Ibrahim Zadran who scored their half-centuries to help Afghanistan tie the match.
Coming to bat, in the first super over, Afghanistan scored 16-1, Afghanistan lost Gulbadin off the first ball after being run out by Kohli. But they also added another single to their tally which was rather controversial after ball hit Nabi’s leg as they capitalized on that. Chasing the total in the first super over, India brought down the scoring to 16 with Rohit Sharma retiring to call Rinku for a quick single but that did not happen which again tied the first super over.
Continuing to bat in the second super over, India scored 11-2 with Rohit Sharma hammering 11 all alone. In response, Afghanistan lost their both batters Naib and Gurbaz to Ravi Bishnoi as they managed 1-2. The match witnessed some exceptional performances, with both teams showcasing their skills in a high-pressure environment. With this win, India also swept the series 3-0.
