AUS vs WI 2nd ODI: Formidable Australia look to continue with winning run

The cricketing action between Australia and West Indies continues with both teams gearing up for the second One Day International (ODI) clash scheduled to take place at the iconic Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) on Sunday. The first encounter between the two teams unfolded in a thrilling contest, that saw Australia emerge victorious by 8 wickets.

Australia's dominance in the opening match was on full display in both batting and bowling department. Among the standout performers in the first ODI were Josh Inglis (65), Cameron Green (77*), and Steve Smith (79*), three of whom notched up impressive half-centuries. Inglis, making a mark with his composed innings, provided a solid start for the Australian innings. 

His performance laid the foundation for the middle order to capitalize on the momentum. Cameron Green, with his all-round abilities, showcased his prowess with both bat and ball, delivering a well-crafted innings that contributed significantly to Australia's chase and taking two wickets as well. 

Steve Smith also played a crucial role in the team's success. Smith's experience and skill were on full display as he along with Green anchored the innings, guiding Australia to a comfortable victory.

Australia have made two changes before going into the second game in Xavier Bartlett and Travis Head. Xavier Bartlett has rested for the second game, while Travis Head has been released from the squad with Josh Hazlewood being added. 

West Indies, on the other hand, will be eager to bounce back in the upcoming ODI after a subpar performance in the series opener. The team's batsmen will look to put up a more formidable total, and their bowlers will be aiming to dismantle the Australian batting lineup early on to make their way into the three-match series.

In the opening game, West Indies were bowled out for (231), however, they regiostered nice innings from Keacy Karty and Roston Chase scoring (88) and (59) respectively.
