WPL 2024: UP Warriorz set to lock horns with Gujarat Giants

In the eighth match of the ongoing Women’s Premier League, UP Warriorz will be squaring off against Gujarat Giants on Friday at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. UP Warriorz have appeared to have picked up the momentum after their first victory in the tournament in their last match against Mumbai Indians. They recorded their 7-wicket victory on the back of match-winning performances from Alyssa Healy (33), Kiran Navgire (57) and Grace Harris (38).

With their massive performance in the last game, they are riding the wave of confidence heading into this game. They are currently positioned on the fourth spot in the points table with one victory from their four games that they have played so far. They have two points along with the negative NRR of -0.357

Gujarat Giants, on the other hand, are at the bottom in the points table with two defeats from two games. Victory has been out of reach for them as they desperately look for a win to gather the momentum in the tournament.
