PSL 2024: Usman Khan anchors Multan Sultans into playoffs

In an outstanding show, Multan Sultans clinched a remarkable victory over Karachi Kings, securing a win by 20 runs in the 19th match of the tournament on Sunday at National Stadium in Karachi. . The showdown witnessed the complete dominance from Multan Sultans over Karachi Kings.
Deciding to bat after winning the toss, Multan Sultans' Usman Khan stole the show by delivering a stellar performance with the bat, scoring (106) unbeaten. He played a pivotal role in guiding his team to a formidable total of 189/3 in (20) overs. Skipper Mohammad Rizwan started off brilliantly, giving a huge impetus with his 58-run knock.
Chasing the target, Karachi Kings remained on the path of suffering with their top-order batters Tim Seifert and James Vince losing their wickets for (1) and (7) respectively. Shan Masood could muster (36) followed by Shoaib Malik’s (38) which wasn’t enough for the team’s win, thereby losing the game by (20) runs.
The victory marked a significant milestone for Multan Sultans, marching into the playoffs after their win against Karachi Kings. They became the first team to qualify for the playoffs in the ongoing Pakistan Super League.
