IPL 2024: Mumbai Indians, Gujarat Titans announce replacements for Dilshan Madushanka and Mohammed Shami

Mumbai Indians have roped in South African pacer Kwena Maphaka as the replacement for the injured Dilshan Madushanka. Kwena Maphaka was incredibly impressive at the U-19 World Cup, coming out with player of the match award. The U-19 World Cup was played in South Africa where he claimed 21 wickets. MI have signed him at his base price of INR 50 lakh. Dilshan Madushanka suffered injury during Sri Lanka's ODI series aganst Bangladesh. 

His staggering figures of 21 were the most, having claimed by a pacer in an edition of the U-19 World Cup. On the other hand, Gujarat Titans have signed Sandeep Warrier as the replacement for fast bowler Mohammed Shami. 

Shami has been out of action since the ODI World Cup, and recently underwent surgery in his right achilles tendon. Sandeep Warrier was signed by Titans at his base price of INR 50 lakh.
