Chennai Super Kings’ fast bowler Matheesha Pathirana is set to miss the initial games of the Indian Premier League due to the hamstring injury he picked up during Sri Lanka’s second ODI match against Bangladesh. According to reports, Pathirana will miss the opening games of the league, giving a big setback to CSK’ bowling arsenal.

As per the report, Pathirana is yet to join the CSK camp as he is currently undergoing rehab, racing against time to make his return to the team.

During the last year, Pathirana was one of the star performers for CSK, returning with 19 wickets from 12 matches. This is the double blow to CSK who are already missing the services of batter Devon Conway who has been ruled out for more than half of the league due to a thumb injury.
