IPL 2024: Mustafizur Rahman to remain available for CSK's match against PBKS
Chennai Super Kings' fast bowler Mustafizur Rahman is available to play for the franchise till May 1 after Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) decided to extend his NOC. Earlier, Mustafizur was scheduled to return to Bangladesh on April 30, but one day extension will help him make himself available to play for CSK’s match against Punjab Kings on May 1.
"We had given Mustafizur a leave to play in the IPL till April 30, but since Chennai has a match on May 1, we have extended his leave by a day upon receiving a request from Chennai and the BCCI," , said BCB's deputy manager of cricket operations, Shahriar Nafees, according to ESPNCricinfo.
After returning to Bangladesh, Mustafizur Rahman is slated to play a five-match home T20I series against Zimbabwe beginning 3rd May. And later, he will travel with Bangladesh to USA for the three-match T20I series against USA in Texas. Last week, Mustafizur made a quick visit to Bangladesh to process his US visa for the upcoming T20I World Cup 2024.
Mustafizur has been superbly economical for CSK, having taken ten wickets in last five games. Chennai Super Kings in their IPL campaign are placed third in the points table, having secured four victories from six matches.
