Varma, Samson’s sensational innings set new records

India’s explosive duo, Tilak Varma and Sanju Samson, put on record-breaking performances in the fourth and final T20I against South Africa on Friday at Wanderers Stadium, leading the team to a commanding 135-run victory. The pair's magnificent 210-run partnership was the highlight of the match, setting a new benchmark for the highest-ever T20I partnership for any wicket for India in T20Is.
Tilak Varma was in sensational form, carrying his form from the third T20I, where he blasted a century. In the fourth game, Varma scored an unbeaten 120 runs off 47 balls. His innings included 10 sixes and 9 fours, showcasing his ability to dominate South Africa's bowlers from the outset.
Samson, his partner at the other end, played a similarly aggressive knock, contributing an unbeaten 109 runs from 56 balls, with 9 sixes and 6 fours. Their stand helped India post a mammoth total of 283/1 in 20 overs. The 283 total is the highest of all T20s in South Africa. This is also the highest partnership for any wicket against South Africa. This is also India's highest T20I total overseas and highest by any country in South Africa.
