Rinku Singh has been a consistent performer for team India in the shortest format of the game over the past one year. T20I World Cup 2024 is on the horizon, and BCCI is also expected to name India’s squad for the blockbuster event in a week or so.

India don’t have the dearth of talent building up to the T20I World Cup 2024. There’s whole host of players vying for a spot in India’s squad. However, former Indian cricketer Sanjay Manjrekar has voiced his support for Rinku Singh.

"Because he's not getting many opportunities, I hope selectors won't forget about Rinku Singh. He's a straight walk-in into the Indian team. Every time he has got the opportunity, you've seen how good he can be, in the sense of his consistency and the range that he has. He's somebody who I like, apart from the core of the Indian team, apart from the big names we are thinking about," Manjrekar told Firstpost.

Looking at Rinku’s T20I figures, he made his debut for India in 2023, having scored 356 runs in 15 T20Is so far. With the sheer consistency and determination, Rinku Singh has established himself as a great finisher. Rinku Singh came into the spotlight on the back of his six-hitting spree in the Indian Premier League 2023.
