Plucky RCB out to prolong winning streak

News

Coming off two victories on the bounce, RCB are heaving a sigh of relief, having travelled through an unprecedented start in the ongoing Indian Premier League. With the last two consecutive victories, RCB have revived their hopes for playoffs, but not entirely, however another match-winning performance will keep the team brimmed with hopes.

On Saturday, RCB will go against Gujarat Titans in the 52nd match of the IPL at M.Chinnaswamy Stadium. Their last game was also against beleaguered Gujarat Titans where RCB downed GT by 9 wickets, with Will Jacks and Virat Kohli proving to be the nemesis to GT’s high-quality spin attack. The showdown is set to be an high-octane battle, with both teams finding themselves in the must-win situation. RCB are seeking to make the most of the remaining chances to remain optimistic.

Gujarat Titans, on the flip side, haven’t seen any uptick in their performance. Their ordinary form has taken them to the eighth place in the points table. To turn around their fortunes, they are eying some sort of miracle at the top in the points table to revitalise their playoffs chances. Shubman Gill has struggled to find the rhythm, and it’s been the kind of campaign for Gill not to remember. Gill has scored 320 runs in last 10 games. Along with Gill,  Sai Sudharsan has kept the scoreboard ticking for GT. Nonetheless, GT would need something special to pin down RCB and keep their chances alive for a berth in playoffs.
