Pathirana flies back to Sri Lanka following hamstring injury

In a colossal blow to their bowling order, CSK are set to miss the services of their star pacer Matheesha Pathirana, who has headed back to Sri Lanka following a hamstring injury. Pathirana presented himself with outstanding performances in the short stint he had with the franchise in the past six matches. He took 13 wickets with an economy of 7.68.
“Chennai Super Kings pacer Matheesha Pathirana is nursing a hamstring injury and will be returning to Sri Lanka for further recovery,” CSK said in a release.
This further complicates the problems for CSK as they are already reeling from the injury to their leading bowler Deepak Chahar. CSK have not been successful in maintaining the winning momentum, however they have the firepower to make their comeback. Earlier, their another fast bowler Mustafizur Rahman returned to Bangladesh due to national duties.
