“Had these boys batted first”: Sachin Tendulkar’s astonishing remarks after SRH’s assault on LSG
In the ongoing Indian Premier League, Sunrisers Hyderabad have been the most destructive team, blasting swashbuckling innings one after another. SRH batters haven’t even spared the seasoned bowlers, with Travis Head in particular proving to be the nemesis for bowlers. On Wednesday, SRH batters again unleashed their brutal assault, this time against LSG bowlers, with Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma hitting (89) and (75) unbeaten.
With their remarkable innings, SRH muscled a total of (165) in (9.4) overs. Both batters combined to stitch a 167-run partnership unbeaten. Amid the exciting knocks, Indian legend Sachin Tendulkar was mesmerised by the innings and stated if they both had batted first they would have put up 300.
"A destructive opening partnership would be an understatement tonight. Had these boys batted first, they would've scored 300!", Sachin stated on X.
Meanwhile, Lucknow Super Giants’ skipper KL Rahul ran out of words to describe the destructive knock from Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma.
"I'm lost for words. We've watched that kind of batting on TV when they batted few games but this is just unreal batting. I have no words to describe how well they were hitting the ball. Everything seemed to find the middle of the bat, kudos to their skill,” KL Rahul said after the match.
