Sunrisers Hyderabad are through to the final of the ongoing Indian Premier League 2024 after recording a commanding victory over Rajasthan Royals by (36) runs on Friday at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. Sunrisers Hyderabad totally demolished Rajasthan Royals, with Shahbaz Ahmed leading an outstanding bowling attack, and claiming three pivotal wickets.

After being asked to bat, Sunrisers Hyderabad raced to a competitive total of 175/9 in (20) over. Dangerous Heinrich Klaasen, slamming his 34-ball 50, top-scored for SRH to power them to a valuable score. Travis Head and Rahul Tripathi chipped in with (34) and (37) respectively as no other batter could continue to score.

Chasing (175), Rajasthan Royals faced early setbacks, losing three key wickets in quick succession. SRH’s bowling attack was relentless, ripping through RR’s top order. Apart from Shahbaz Ahmed, Abhishek Sharma, Pat Cummins and T Natarajan too claimed two and one wicket each respectively.

Dhruv Jurel (56 off 35) kept the team’s hopes alive but the top order and middle order collapse made the task incredibly insuperable for RR. Opener Yashasvi Jaiswal was the other batter, who made (42) to open the innings positively for the team. Regular breakthrough tilted the balance firmly in Hyderabad’s favour as RR couldn’t come out of early blows. With this victory, SRH have booked their place in the IPL 2024 final as they will now battle KKR on 26th May.
