West Indies beat South Africa in third T20I to complete series whitewash

West Indies completed a dominant 3-0 series sweep against South Africa after beating the latter in the third and final T20I by eight wickets on Monday at Sabina Park. West Indies’ Johnson Charles hammered 69 as they chased down South Africa's total with impressive efficiency. It also served as a big boost for West Indies in their preparations for the upcoming T20I World Cup that gets underway next week.
Deciding to bat, South Africa posted a competitive target by scoring 163 runs on the back of Rassie van der Dussen who scored crucial 51, which provided stability and momentum to South Africa’s score. South Africa kept losing wickets at regular intervals, but van der Dussen and Wiaan Mulder’s little help ensured that the proteas reached a respectable total.
West Indies, in their chase, remained incredibly explosive, reaching the target in just 13.5 overs and demonstrating their aggressive and effective approach to T20 cricket ahead of the World Cup. Johnson Charles, playing a blistering knock of 69 runs, made a starring contribution in team’s comprehensive victory.
