India to face off against Pakistan in T20 Asia Cup opener

The Indian Women's cricket team will kick off their T20 Asia Cup 2024 campaign by facing off against arch-rival Pakistan on July 19. The tournament, to be played in Sri Lanka, will feature the top eight women's teams from Asia. The teams have been divided into two groups for the competition. India and Pakistan, two of the most prominent teams in the tournament, will face off in a high-stakes match that will surely be drawing significant attention. 

In the group A, India, Pakistan, Nepal and UAE have been placed and in the group B, host Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Malaysia and Thailand are there. In the qualification scenario, top two teams from each group will advance to the semi-finals and the winners of the semi-finals will move to the final which will be played on July 28.
