After having a disappointing start to their tour of India, South Africa Women fueled some life to their campaign by winning the first T20I match of the three-match series on Friday in Chennai. This victory marks their first triumph on their ongoing tour of India, offering a much-needed morale boost following a series of setbacks.

This win not only breaks their streak of losses but also sets a positive tone for the remaining matches of the series. In the first T20I, Tazmin Brits and Marizanne played match-winning innings, firing 81 and 57 respectively.
