Shubman Gill, young Indian batter and a promising talent, played a pivotal role in leading India to a commanding 4-1 series victory against Zimbabwe in Harare on Sunday. India won the fifth and final game final game by 42 runs to seal the series win. Despite a rocky start where India stumbled in the opening game, with Zimbabwe overpowering them, India’s comeback was scintillating. Speaking after India’s victory, Shubman Gill stated that India's comeback was remarkable.

"After losing the first match, we were under a bit of pressure. It's not easy to play back to back games and the series was planned out in a way that there were two back-to-back games, a couple of days rest and then again back-to-back games. It's never easy playing a series like that but I think the way we came back after losing the first T20I was really remarkable," Gill said during the post-match press conference.

"I think going 1-0 down in the series and then the way we came back was truly remarkable. Seeing everyone so hungry and so quickly adapting to the situation and assessing the conditions was truly spectacular to watch."

India’s squad for this series relatively consisted of young faces as they made their mark keeping in mind India’s upcoming assignment against Sri Lanka in a few days.
