Indian all-rounder Shivam Dube was given player of the match award after India finished their five-match T20I series against Zimbabwe with 4-1 victory. Dube’s handy contribution played one of the major roles in India’s victory.
With bat, Shivam Dube blasted 26 off 12 balls and he also claimed two crucial wickets, helping India bowl out Zimbabwe for 125 in 18.3 overs. Zimbabwe were chasing a total of 167. Dube expressed happiness after contributing to India’s victory.
"It's always a special thing for me as an all-rounder to contribute in both departments. It feels really good today, i contributed in batting and took some wickets. So, it was really good for me,” Dube said during the post-match presentation.
Speaking on his struggle before pounding two boundaries and two sixes in his 26-run knock, Dube said it’s the nature of T20 cricket.
"Definitely, that’s the T20 game, If you struggle but suddenly one shot and you are back in the game. So, that was always the plan for me. Be positive and think to hit the bowler. The ground is big, we enjoy playing here, the atmosphere and the people are amazing,"
