Dinesh Karthik appointed league ambassador at SA20
Former Indian wicketkeeper-batter Dinesh Karthik has been appointed as the ambassador of the South Africa’s T20 league SA20, the league announced on Monday. Dinesh Karthik, after the IPL 2024, announced his retirement from the league and was recently named mentor at Royal Challengers Bengaluru in IPL.
In a statement the league said, Dinesh Karthik has tremendous knowledge of franchise cricket which would help in the development of the SA20 league.
“I’m thrilled to join the Betway SA20 as an ambassador,” said Karthik. “The League has been electric in the first two seasons with some of the world’s best players on show and exciting young talent putting up their hands on the global stage. It’s a privilege to be associated with the Betway SA20 and I look forward to working with Graeme and his team.”
Over the last two years, SA20 has gained a lot of popularity and the upcoming season, which is third, is expected to be played from 9th January to 8th February.
