Australian fast bowler Josh Hazlewood has been ruled out of the upcoming T20I series against Scotland due to a calf strain. This injury comes as a significant blow to the Australian team as they prepare for this crucial series.

To replace Hazlewood, Riley Meredith has been added to the Australian squad. Hazlewood, however, is expected to be available for Australia for the T20Is and ODIs against England later in September.

Riley Meredith showed his skills in the England domestic season while playing for Somerset. He claimed 14 wickets in the T20 Blast and six wickets in three one-day cup games. He played for Australia back in 2021. This will be a great opportunity for him to showcase his skills and take on a greater role in the team

Australia T20I Squad: Mitchell Marsh (capt), Sean Abbott, Xavier Bartlett, Cooper Connolly, Tim David, Nathan Ellis, Jake Fraser-McGurk, Cameron Green, Aaron Hardie, Travis Head, Josh Inglis (wk), Riley Meredith, Marcus Stoinis, Adam Zampa
