South Africa’s powerful hitter Heinrich Klaasen has pulled out of Caribbean Premier League 2024 owing to family reasons. Heinrich Klaasen is the most reliable batter in the middle-order, having been showing his talent for proteas over the past few years. It is a big setback for St Lucia Kings who signed him in June to strengthen their batting attack.

Tim Seifert has been roped in by the Kings to replace Klaasen. Tim Seifert is another power- hitter, boasting a great record. He was also part of Trinbago Knight Riders that won the CPL in 2020. Klaasen played for Guyana Amazon Warriors in 2022, scoring 118 runs in five games.

Zimbabwe all-rounder Sikandar Raza has also pulled out of the league due to an injury. Raza posted on ‘X’ that he will miss the tournament because of an injury.
